Dr. Natalie M. Snow holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the School of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is a member of the Canadian Sociological Association, American Society of Criminology and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. Her research interests include policy processes, sexual violence, victimology and the legal response to female victimization and offending, as well as community based research and evaluation. Dr. Snow’s dissertation explored the online framing of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women social movement. Dr. Snow teaches full-time at Humber College in the Bachelor of Social Sciences- Criminal Justice.
Dr Andrea Prajerova (she/her) is a white queer intersectional feminist, social justice advocate and human rights expert. With a career that straddles both academia and the nonprofit sector, she is bringing to the table extensive experience in research and evaluation, fund-development and program management. Her professional interests include sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender-based violence, identity politics, feminist economy, and queer and disability justice. She has published her work in several journals and news media outlets as well as spoken about pressing human rights issues at conferences in Canada and abroad. She has also worked as the Director of Board and Secretary at multiple community organizations, including Planned Parenthood Ottawa, the Door Youth Centre, and the AIDS Committee of Ottawa. Dr Prajerova is a book club founder, who loves to shed light on voices in literature that usually get marginalized and advocate for what is right.
Johannah Brockie is a values-driven, compassionate professional with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, social enterprises, and various charitable organizations. With a diverse range of expertise, she has served as a seasoned educator and facilitator, sharing knowledge with hundreds of individuals worldwide on a wide range of subjects, from basic income and period poverty to maintaining mental wellness while engaging in development work. Passionate about education as a tool for empowerment, Johannah is dedicated to bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to foster open dialogue and collaboratively create innovative approaches to address pressing social issues.
Currently, Johannah serves as a consultant with the Canadian Center for Women’s Empowerment (CCFWE), where she skillfully coordinates various events and project launches. Previously, she held the position of Program Manager for Advocacy and System Change, co-facilitating numerous educational webinars to equip organizations and the general public with the knowledge and tools to identify and combat economic abuse. Additionally, she orchestrated international campaigns across four countries, uniting voices to denounce economic abuse and advocate for justice.
Johannah holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the Guelph Institute of Development Studies, complemented by a certificate in Civic Engagement and Global Citizenship.
