Patrick Mwesigye has a diverse background in digital communication, advocacy and campaigning and policy programming experience in global development work, having worked with a range of international and local level organizations, programs and campaigns aimed at advancing Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Gender Equality and Women and Empowerment, Youth Participation and addressing Sexual Gender Based violence. Patrick is the Founder and former Communications Director and former CEO of Uganda Youth and Adolescents Health Forum, former Vice President and Communications Lead for Africa Youth and Adolescents Network on Population and Development, a former board member of the Global Partnership for Maternal Newborn and Child Health, a former Youth Advisory Board member for World Health Organization Africa Regional Office, former Youth Advisory Board member of UNFPA East and Southern Africa Regional Office and former Youth Advisory Board member for the African Union Commission. Currently, Patrick serves as Global Champion for She Decides Global Movement, and he is a Women Deliver Young Leader and 120 Under 40 Global Young Leader for Family Planning under the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health. Patrick has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health from Makerere University, a certificate in Maternal and Newborn Leadership from the Harvard School of Public Health, a certificate in Global Health Leadership from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health and a Diploma in Environmental Management from Galilee College in Israel. Patrick is also a Certified Digital Marketing expert with Google and a Meta-Certified Social Media Marketing expert.
Jasjeet Kaur Gill is a skilled front-end developer with four years of practical experience in web design, development, and maintenance. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer applications from India and has completed a mobile-web development diploma in Canada. Jasjeet is known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Her coding skills allow her to bring people’s website visions to life through creative and innovative coding.
Jasjeet has joined CCFWE with the aim of enhancing the online presence and appearance of women empowerment initiatives.
Pamela Mauro is a Chilean professional currently residing in Vancouver, with over nine years of experience in the design industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial and interior design from Chile and has dedicated seven years to specializing in exhibition and event design.
Following a year of exploration in New Zealand, Pamela relocated to Vancouver, Canada, where she pursued additional education in Graphic Design and Social Media Marketing. Over the past two years, she has diligently honed her skills through a combination of volunteer work, freelance projects, and collaborations with various Canadian companies spanning diverse sectors.
Pamela’s primary focus during this period has been crafting impactful branding, developing digital assets, and producing print materials to enhance and refine brand identities. Additionally, she has closely collaborated with Marketing Departments, making valuable contributions to awareness initiatives and campaign execution.
For the past two years, Pamela has been a valued member of the CCFWE team, lending her design expertise on a voluntary basis, she has played a pivotal role in creating editorial designs for research and studies, as well as designing marketing materials to advance the organization’s mission and support various campaigns.
Yuki, our new volunteer video editor, is a multi-talented professional with a wide-ranging skill set. She brings proficiency in graphic design using tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Figma, and Canva. Yuki’s video editing capabilities extend to software like Premiere Pro, After Effects, Filmora, CapCut Pro, and Maxon Cinema 4D.
Beyond design, Yuki also possesses web development skills in HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, Yuki is deeply passionate about incorporating psychological principles into her design work to create engaging and user-centered websites. With two years of experience in motion design and video editing, Yuki excels at crafting visual stories and enhancing user experiences, all while maintaining a profound understanding of the technical and psychological aspects of her craft. Yuki designs prioritize user engagement and effectively convey messages with a unique blend of creativity and empathy.
Bringing a wealth of email marketing expertise to our team, Gregory Bourne is a Montreal native who has called Toronto home for the past 25 years. With a background in Communications, Media, and Marketing, he previously worked with a non-profit organization to assist newcomer domestic abuse victims, highlighting his commitment to making a positive impact.
Gregory is adept at creating engaging content, having written blog articles for social media campaigns, and executing marketing strategies for training programs. His experience as a Database Analyst and Application Service Provider Specialist showcases his analytical skills and attention to detail, both vital in the email marketing domain. With a unique blend of skills and experiences, Gregory is poised to excel as an email marketing coordinator on our team.
In his spare time, you can find Gregory and his wife babysitting their twins’ puppies!
María, our new Volunteer Graphic Designer, brings an exceptional creative flair to the team. Hailing from Chile, she holds a bachelor’s degree in design and excels in illustration and logo design, creating engaging visuals for a diverse range of clients in Canada and the USA. Her expertise extends to corporate animation projects and teaching private illustration lessons.
Now based in Ottawa, Canada, María is committed to further enhancing her Graphic Design and Web Development skills. She actively contributes her creative talents to volunteer and freelance projects, showcasing her proactive approach and unwavering commitment to excellence. María’s arrival promises to infuse our team with a unique blend of artistic ingenuity and dedication.
Tajinder, known as Taj, is a seasoned storyteller, strategist, and content writer, boasting over seven years of invaluable experience in public relations and sales. Her dedication to impactful communication shines through her history of crafting compelling PR campaigns and content for global clients and non-profit organizations.
As a newcomer to Canada, Taj injects a fresh perspective and a relentless drive to connect people through her content. She has a proven track record in developing company messaging, managing newsletters, optimizing LinkedIn profiles, and shaping PR plans to align all stakeholders with the organization’s vision. Additionally, she’s taken the lead on analytical research through platforms like Talkwalker, further fueling business development efforts. Beyond her professional life, Taj finds solace in oil painting, revels in the great outdoors through hiking, and enjoys engaging in sports, reflecting a multifaceted individual ready to contribute her skills and enthusiasm as a Volunteer Content Developer on our team.
