With the generous support of TD Ready Commitment, CCFWE is pioneering an unprecedented financial literacy training called “My Money, My Freedom” program aimed at providing essential financial education to visible minority survivors of domestic Economic Abuse residing in Ontario.
Through this project, our goal is to bridge the financial knowledge gap that visible minority, immigrant, refugee and BIPOC survivors of domestic economic abuse often encounter even after leaving such relationships. By bolstering the financial knowledge and skills of these survivors, we aim to empower them to regain control over their lives, especially in the realm of financial well-being.
My Money, My Freedom is a trauma and violence informed six-week financial literacy training designed uniquely for survivors of Domestic Economic Abuse.
Join our program to day! space is limited! By joining the program,
- You will gain a solid understanding of financial concepts, including post separation, budgeting, saving, investing, debt management, and credit.
- You will acquire the skills to take control of their financial futures, ensuring greater independence and security.
- The course will equip you with the knowledge and tools to build and maintain a healthy credit score, opening doors to better financial opportunities.
- The program will provide information on community resources and support services available for financial assistance.
The workshop is collaborating with Trauma of Money on the development of the training and resources.
