VOLUNTEER WITH US

CANADIAN CENTER FOR WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT

The Canadian Center for Women’s Empowerment (CCFWE) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to empowering domestic violence survivors to recover from economic abuse through advocacy, education, and policy change.

CCFWE is the only Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it. Our vision is a world where domestic violence survivors can access and receive the resources they require to develop and achieve economic empowerment, and in doing so, improve their general well-being.

We work in partnership to ensure women have access to and control over their own economic resources. We focus on four strategic priorities: public education and awareness-raising; mental health and wellness; ensuring systems do not inadvertently facilitate economic abuse; and influencing policy. Our aim now is to ensure that Canadian private and public sector policies and practices recognize economic abuse, so that victim-survivors are supported to achieve economic justice, and abusers are held accountable for their behaviours.

We have an immediate need for assistance in helping us prepare for our November conference. We are asking for a four month commitment towards that goal. (There is an opportunity to participate beyond that time!)

We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds, including Indigenous applicants, all genders, nationalities and persons with disabilities. Interested and qualified individuals are encouraged to submit their CV in confidence to the Human Resource Specialist via email to volunteer@test.ccfwe.org

We thank all interested parties and advise that only those selected to advance in the process will be contacted. All applications will be kept confidential.
